Melander, Esther
I am an Accredited Genealogist® with ICAPGenSM in the U.S. Southeast region, which includes Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. I have worked on my own family tree and client projects, including DNA research, for several years. I periodically teach classes at my local Family History Center and assist others in their own research.
One way to learn how to become a better genealogist is by reading and reviewing case studies. In this way genealogists and family historians can learn from professional genealogists and follow their research strategies. I created a blog and Youtube channel called Discover Your Origins to help people discover the stories of their ancestors.
I worked for 20 years as a librarian specializing in cataloging and technical services. I am also a veteran of the fashion industry specializing in children’s special occasion clothing. I have been involved with the manufacturing and selling of children’s clothing in big box retail and specialty boutique stores. My diverse background has helped me gain unique skills that enable me to efficiently organize information and present it to others.
