Jenkins, Kim
Kim's love for family stories began years ago when she accompanied her grandparents to the family cemeteries each Memorial Day. As they worked to clean up their ancestors' gravestones, her grandparents shared their stories. That early experience taught Kim the value of the threads that tie us to the past. Today, she helps clients pick up those threads and weave their own family narratives.
Kim is accredited in the England region with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on Family History Research. Her research expertise spans the British Isles and United States, utilizing both traditional records and modern genetic genealogy techniques. She works with clients on challenging research questions, from breaking through brick walls to verifying lineages and documenting family stories.
Teaching and lecturing are an important part of Kim's passion for all things regarding genealogy. She teaches genealogy classes, both in person and via Zoom, and provides one-on-one mentoring, making complex research concepts accessible to learners at all levels.
