With over 47 years’ experience she offers workshops, seminars and specialty genealogy tours. She consults for several TV-shows, including Norwegian "Anno" and "Who Do you Think You Are?" BBC and Canada. Haakenstad is also a RootsTech speaker for several years. She has written ten books on Norwegian genealogy, the latest in English. She also started Genealogy Mysteries. Liv Marit Haakenstad is accredited for research in Norway.
