Melissa Corn Finlay, Accredited Genealogist® is a Senior Researcher with Legacy Tree Genealogists in San Antonio, Texas. She has over thirty years of experience specializing in southern United States family lines, Native American heritage, and African American heritage. She especially enjoys breaking down family tree "brick walls" and writing biographies. Melissa gained a passion for genealogy research at a young age, asking for rides to local libraries and archives before she had a driving license. She earned her BA in Family History-Genealogy from Brigham Young University and is accredited for research in the United States Mid-South region through ICAPGen. Melissa and her husband have expanded their family tree with seven children and one son-in-law.
