Education Committee
The Education Committee runs two ICAPGen Study Groups: the Four Generation Project Study Group and the Test Prep Study Group. Each group runs twice a year.

Four Generation Application Committee
This committee finds qualified raters within the Accredited Genealogist® community to rate Four Generation Projects. They regularly evaluate the rating rubrics and rating process for consistency and accuracy.

Presentation Committee
This committee promotes ICAPGen and the accreditation process through webinars, videos, and live presentations.

Public Relations Committee
This committee oversees all ICAPGen communications. Responsibilities include creating and distributing a quarterly newsletter; sending commission-wide email; maintaining the ICAPGen social media, chairing conference booths, both virtual and in-person; and maintaining and distributing marketing materials.

Renewal Committee
This committee keeps track of renewals, sending renewal reminder notices, reviewing all renewal submissions, and upon successful renewal, sending a renewal certificate. They also send out the guidelines and change of status forms to AG® professionals who request emeritus status.

Test Creation Committee
This committee creates tests to assess the breadth and depth of each accreditation candidate’s knowledge. Tests are designed to evaluate genealogical research skills as well as in-depth knowledge of the chosen region.

Testing Committee
This committee is responsible for the administration and rating of all exams, including oral reviews. The committee regularly evaluates the rating rubrics and the rating process for consistency and accuracy.
