Becoming an Excellent Genealogist

Whether you are a professional genealogist, or you would like to become one, this conference is for you.  Family researchers looking for advanced classes are also welcome.

New Accreditation Areas

ICAPGen is pleased to announce that the following tests will now be offered:

  • Gulf-South African American
  • Mid-South African American
  • Gulf-South American Indian
  • Mid-South American Indian

Laws specifically directed at American Indians and African-Americans have resulted in unique records being maintained in varied locations at different periods of time. These new examinations have been prepared to recognize and encourage proficiency in these areas.

AG Standards
Agreement

The Agreement between the AG professional and ICAPGen outlines the responsibilities of each Accredited Genealogist researcher to ICAPGen, to the researcher's clients, and to the genealogical community. Should a dispute or client complaint occur, the Agreement outlines the arbitration process.
